A watch charm is a small decorative piece that slides onto or clips around a watch strap, often used to dress up smartwatch bands. A phone charm is a small pendant, bead string or short chain that hangs from a phone case or a phone strap. Both are cheap to make, light to ship and easy to sell as add-ons.
Rajkot workshops can make the metal parts with the same casting, stamping and plating they use for pendants and earrings. Beads, cords and silicone straps are often bought in and assembled.
Watch charms
- Slide charms: a metal piece with a slot that the strap passes through.
- Clip or hoop charms: small hinged rings that close around the strap.
- Stud charms: decorative studs that push through the holes of a sport band.
- Styles: initials, hearts, stars, stone-set bars and small motifs, usually in gold, silver or rose gold finish.
Phone charms
- Bead strings: glass, acrylic or pearl-effect beads on cord, finished with small metal charms.
- Short chains with a pendant, clipped to a strap anchor or a case loop.
- Wrist straps and crossbody straps with metal hardware and charms.
- Styles follow fashion trends closely, so designs change fast.
What to specify
Fit is the main risk. A watch charm must match the strap width it is sold for, for example the common smartwatch band widths, and the slot should hold firmly without scratching the band. Send the maker a sample strap or exact measurements rather than relying on a model name.
For phone charms, specify the cord material, the attachment type and a pull strength the piece must survive. Small parts and long cords raise safety questions if the product could be used by children, so state the intended age group on the listing.
Orders and quantities
Because these pieces are small and simple, MOQs per design are usually lower than for necklace sets, and one mould can produce many variants with different plating colours. Plating and finishing are still the main quality points, since charms rub against straps and phone cases all day.
These items are trend-driven, so order modest quantities across several designs rather than large runs of one, and reorder what sells.
What this means for a buyer
Charms are a low-risk way to test a new supplier or extend an existing range. Read about mixed designs in small quantities before you plan your first order.
